The rising costs of environmental cleanup, the growing number of rules and regulations, and the threat of litigation have all contributed to increased awareness of pollution issues. No one industry is particularly at risk. And even if a business is environmentally sound now, it doesn’t mean that it will continue to be five or 10 years from now - the laws might change or a contaminant might be found under the ground.
