Recall Matters August 2008

A small percentage of food fraud equates to huge sums of money for criminal gain, with the consumer and legitimate business consequently suffering. Levels of foods fraud may be as high as 10% in some instances, and so it is easy to see why the criminal mind can be drawn to such potential rich pickings.   Manufacturers of food or consumer products need to develop procedures to manage all incidents that would affect their business and their ability to supply distributors.
